Seven chorus students from Sullivan West High School were recently selected for and performed in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Zone 9 Area All-State Music Festival, which was held on November 18th & 19th.
The students who participated in the Treble Choir were Lucy Arzilli, alto; Cheyenne Decker, alto; Alexa Rogers, soprano; and Ariel Roycroft, soprano. Performing in the Mixed Choir was Angela Cordischi, soprano; Ethan Hoch, tenor; and Henry Simon, bass.
Additionally, two Sullivan West students, Angela Cordischi, soprano; and Henry Simon, bass alternate, were named to the NYSSMA All-State Festival, which will take place in Rochester, NY on December 1-4.
Sullivan West High School Choir Instructor Jerry Hoch offered his congratulations to all of the talented young musicians on their selection and performances at the higher level.
Looking forward, Sullivan West chorus students are also prospects for performing at the NYSSMA All-Eastern Music Festival, which will take place in April of next year.
