Lady Bears continue hot start to season!

PINE BUSH — The Tri-Valley Lady Bears are off to a 4-1 (1-0) start to the season after a 9-2 victory on Tuesday afternoon. Jenna Carmody tossed a complete game with 13 strikeouts as well as going 4-4 at the plate with a triple and three singles, two runs scored, two RBI and three stolen bases.

Avery Carrier added two singles and two RBI in the winning effort. Emily Rusin, Daniella Bell and Angelia Raykoff also recorded hits in the win.

Golf

The Tri-Valley boys defeated Fallsburg on Tuesday afternoon with a score of 256 to 296. The win brought Tri-Valley’s division record to an unblemished 3-0 with an overall 3-3 record to start the season.

The Livingston Manor girls continued their stellar season on Wednesday afternoon as they defeated Sullivan West to bring their record to 10-3 overall, the Lady Wildcats  are a perfect 9-0 in the division.

Softball

Tri-Valley and Eldred battled on Wednesday afternoon with the Lady Bears taking home a 4-2 victory over the Lady Yellowjackets. Jenna Carmody earned the win, tossing a complete game with seven strikeouts, as well as knocking two hits and driving in three runs. Daniella Bell added two hits in the win and Emily Rusin hit a triple. Eldred’s Chloe Warming tossed a complete game and struck out four, with Sydney Furler, Alexis Frederick and Lindsay Zgrodek each recording two hits in the loss.

Liberty continued their season on Wednesday as they took on Highland and their Junior All-State pitcher Alexa Pavese. The RedHawks were able to plate two runs, but ultimately dropped the game 10-2. Nevaeh Davis, Megan Schmidt, Angie Wheeler and Brenna Mangan all had hits in the loss as Liberty’s record moved to 4-7 for the season.

Track

After starting out with an impressive 4-0 record on the season, both the Boys and Girls Track and Field teams in Monticello suffered their first loss on Wednesday afternoon as they lost a dual match against Goshen. The boys lost 80-61 and the girls lost 98-43, bringing their records to 4-1.
