MONGAUP VALLEY — In Division B of the Sullivan County Women’s Softball League, Krupp Contracting took home the championship on Tuesday, August 13. After going 14-1 in the regular season, they defeated Royal Associates in the championship series. The new champions lost the first game of the series before coming back and winning the next two, 33-4 and 23-12. 

In the middle game of the series on Tuesday, August 6, Krupp Contracting scored in all of the five innings played before it ended with a run rule. 

They scored seven in the first and third innings, five in the second, four in the fourth and 10 in the fifth while batting around in the first and fifth. 

Two-hole hitter Haley Stanton led the team with six hits in that game while every hitter in the lineup recorded at least two hits a piece. 

All but one batter scored a run in the second game of the series as they got the contest in before the rain started falling. Stanton and Danielle Bertholf scored five runs each to lead that statistical category for Krupp Contracting. 

In what was the 50th anniversary of the league, the only loss Krupp Contracting suffered in the regular season was to Fortress Bikes, 10-9, on Monday, June 3.
